Ok dont think im dumb i have a 99 GTP as u all no... anyways i no the performance shift on the shifter increases the pressure in some lines... but really is it good to use whenever to gain more power or is it off the line or.... fill me in on my awesome S/C option haha thanks guys!

Performance Shift just raises the shift pressures and shortens the shift times in the trans. It also enables the 3-1 and 4-2 skip-shift downshifts. Sadly there is no increase anywhere else in the system, no additional timing or anything


But, of racing I would suggest leaving it on the whole time, cause it also rases shift points,letting you get more out of every gear......

It's basically a push button shift kit. Like blue said, when it's on, it allows your car to shift at a higher rpm than normal.

ahhh ok i gotcha it wont hurt anything if i always just leave it on?? will it hurt the tranny? also will it kill MPG?? thanks alot guys!

Leave it on all the time, isn't going to hurt anything.

No. It only affects shifts and you're not shifting coming off the line.
