| SE Level Member  |  Gas Pedal Sticking Ok so lately my gas pedal has been sticking in one spot and its getting pretty annoying. If I turn my car off and leave it sitting there for about an hour or more, the gas pedal sticks in it's initial position. I have to apply a lot of pressure from my foot to push the pedal down, but then once it's pushed down, I have no problems releasing completely off and then pushing it back down (goes up and down very smoothly). I've tried spraying the metal piece that connects to the pedal with WD40 but it made no difference. Any ideas on what is causing this and how I can fix it?

That way you could remove the sensors and then use brake cleaner to clean everything out. Of course your going to need a security torx bit tool for the MAF and a new throttle body gasket.
