Talking Day time running lamps

Is their anyway to get these off other than pulling the fuse caz that makes a funny noise under the dash when i do that. I was wondering a way to do it to make them stay off i like the look of the car with no lights on. I know i can turn the switch between parking lights and headlights and that will shut them off but i still have the parking lights on. Let me know thanks.

Ok the last time I pulled the fuse it made a sound that sounded like the turn signal flasher under the steering wheel. I will try it again soon.

I believe you have to put a certain resistor in the sensor in the dash right by the windshield. Contact Back in Black he should know. I'm not sure if he's made it over here but you can always try him at Clubgp.

^^I'd recommend starting your own thread for a separate question. You'll get more responses, and it won't clutter up someone else's thread.

To disable DRL's. Pulling the fuse only works in the older model years (I don't remember exactly which years). To disable them in the newer cars, all you have to do is unplug the DRL diode in the dash. Open the driver side door, then remove the little panel on the side of the dash. You'll see a black module with a big heat sink. Unplug the connector running to this module, and your DRL's will be disabled.

The resistor that Preotic is talking about is to disable the twilight sentinel auto headlights). In the center of the dash, there's a panel with two holes in it. One hole has a red LED (flashes to make people think you have an alarm), and the other hole is for the photosensor for the twilight sentinel. Gently pry up this panel, and unplug the sensor. Replace it with a 470 ohm resistor 470 ohm. You can just slide the resistor into the connector, and use electrical tape to hold it in.

IN the last paragraph here it says the Twilight Sentinel and how you can get diff. ohm resistors.
