Default Another HUD problem

Ok... I bought the car back in November and my HUD hasn't worked since I got it. I've done some searching on possible problems but all I ever find is the typical brightness issues. I don't know a whole lot about HUD systems so I'm not quite sure how to trouble shoot my problem other than check fuses. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Well, dont take this the wrong way. I only mention it because the first couple of days I had mine I thought the HUD didnt work either until I realized that you could adjust the tilt angle. Someone or the previous owner had it tilted all the way down so that it didnt show up.

So I would off that up as a suggestion. Ive never really heard of any HUD issues outside of the brightness issue.

Okay, carry on then. Just thought I would ask so we could rule it out. Aside from it being just bad and needing to be replaced, the only other thing I can think of would be to check the fuses.

if the fuses are good it almost has to be the unit (could be a bad wire leading to it, or switch) how much does Ed charge for the unit and switch, might be worth swapping it
