Default Aeroforce scan gauge performance mode

I was playing around w/ my aeroforce and noticed the performance mode. I decided I would try it out and it came up w/ some good #'s (for me). This is probably a dumb question but are the 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile, and 0-60 times accurate? Has anyone else tried this mode and compared it to their 1/4 or 1/8 mile times at the track?

I've heard they are very inaccurate.

Mine was 5-7mph off in MPH, and very close to my actual time, I did a few pulls. Its hard to get the exact same conditions on the street as you did at the track. It takes a little practice to get used to how it calculates the performance, but once you understand it and do it right, its fairly accurate.

Good to know, I plan on going to the track in 2 wks so I will set it up then and compare. The reason I ask is b/c I am getting some good numbers but I dont think it should be that good.

When i went to the track for my 1st time EVER I got a 14.2 @ 99mph. With the gauge it said 13.6-13.8. I did it twice. Mods are 1.9 RR, springs and retainers, 104's, 180* Tstat, 3.4 MPS, PCM, 3" DP, CAI, alt rewire, fuel pump rewire. I also went on the Aeroforce site and it said that it is actually pretty accurate if you have little to no wheel spin. Can be within .2 sec. When I did it I had minimum wheel spin.

i think a 13.8 is do able. and it was your first time at the track. im sure you could do a little better. seems kinda acurate to me. but i also think those things are a little inacurate on when you start. like when you actually start, you could be moving one to two miles an hour before it starts. at the track as soon as you move it starts. i dont think its all that off tho

It's as accurate as it can be given your car's sensors. If you spin your tires it makes the quarter mile come sooner (since it's tracking distance by how far your wheels move) and thus your time is faster but the trap speed would be slower. It's nearly 100% accurate if you launch with no wheel spin to what the track would record on the same run.

To record you have to be stopped so you can't be rolling a few MPH since it'd know.
