Default 97 blower motor wont fit a 99

Soo my heater stoped workin in my 99 gtp, soo i take the blower motor out of my 97 gtp and the only thing that doesnt fit is the wiring plug that makes it work, if you know what i mean. Soo i called up carquest to make sure and the women told me that they sell the blower motor for the grand prix through 97-03 yea that makes sence, but where you plug in the wire its setup a little different and it just wont fit in it. Soo im gonna have to end up buying a new one. Its 88 bucks btw at carquest.

Im suprised it had a plug on it as I see many of the parts store blower motors with bare wire ends that you use your old connector on

I would hook that fan up to a battery and make sure, I dont see them fail too often but the resistors on the other hand are always going bad. Put a volt meter on the fan wires with it plugged in and turn the fan on and go through the range of speeds and see what you get.
