| My apology for being GM ignorant, my recently acquired Grand Prix is my first. Here's my question. I have a 1997 Thunderbird with a 4.6l V8 and of course the automatic. I wanted a manual. I found a wrecked 2000 Mustang also with the 4.6 and a 6-spd. Over one weekend a friend of mine and I removed the Thunderbird's engine and trans, dropped in the Mustang's engine/trans, pedal assembly, the exhaust system, and it's better brakes. We then flashed the ECU's automatic control codes and it's been good for 7 years no with no issues at all. Couldn't this be done as easily with a Camaro/Firebird with a 3800 and a manual trans? Thanks Tom |

AAMCO can flash all automatic transmission control codes out of the ecu/ecm/pcm in all of about 15 minutes. |
