I'm "pondering" the same question but I was told I would have to "shim" engine!? Not so sure what thats about so I stayed clear. Would be nice to drop some and get rid of the damn sag in the rear during acc. Let me know if you do get some and how they turn out.

unless youre going to get some good struts (AGX's) with eibachs then forget about it. my ride is crappy as hell. i would LOVE to upgrade to some vogtland/AGX's all around the car.

as far as the "shimming"...its because the lowering offsets the geometry of the tranny, therefore causing your axels to be at the wrong angle. this causes acceleration vibration. solved by a) putting plates in the lower motor mounts to raise the engine up or b) shortening your dogbones. i have shortened dogbones and it has worked pretty well for me. this also stresses your lower mounts more because of pulling the engine forward so far. option a is the best way to solve it, but it also may mean you will never run an intercooler.

if you lower and your wheels rub, use a hammer.

that is my advice to you..

Just be sure to get the +36mm offset ones and roll your fenders.

I have a write-up on here to do it.

It's exactly what I run.

so should i not even bother putting in springs unless i get new struts, because i do plan on putting in camber adjustments so it will go back to the stock alignment once lowered. but it dont wanna put in springs and then find out i jus ended up doin more damage than good.

lowering springs destroy stock struts. you need to prepare accordingly with struts made for lowering vehicles.

My old setup was the KYB GR-2's and SSC Gen II springs. It lowered nicely, but it didnt slam it like others do. The only complaint I had is that GR-2's road to harsh for me. I am picking this weekend my new AGX struts and SSC Gen II's from a guy down in Louisville.

I had a little vibration at 60mph but I never used shims or shortened dogbones. My summer rims are 18x8.5. They should clear ok once the springs "settle." Only time will tell

i have gr2s and they ride crappy. but they are also shot from running eibachs.

i would kill for a vogtland and agx setup.
