Looking to get bigger brakes for 00 gt...was looking at the KVR big brake kit..its a lot of money but its the only kit that I see that uses 4 piston calipers. Anybody heard anything about how good it is?

I just wanted to add my two cents to say that you'll be fine with the F-Body brakes with SS lines. I've autocrossed and roadraced with that setup and they work fine.

well I need breaks anyway so I guess there's no reason to replace when there are upgrades. can you use the large impala rotors? I already have a set of them. isn't the bolt pattern different for the F-body rotors? I thought it was 5x4.75 and the GP was 5x4.5?

Should. Several Impala owners run with F-body brakes and stock 16" wheels. The 13" rotor upgrade requires larger rims, not the F-body (which uses a 12" rotor) upgrade.

hey if you're running 17" or larger rotors year round i have a set of GXP front calipers brackets rotors and pads. im selling. Its a 12.7" rotor with a dual piston caliper. Bolt straight up so no modification needed. all youd need to get is new lines.
