has anyone ever installed a hand brake in place of the foot operated emergency brake?

i've been kicking around doing this for a while but can't find where anyone has done it. i was thinking about mounting it beside the console on the drivers side where it lays flat with the console. anyone else ever think about doing this or am i alone on this one?

and no i'm not trying to do this so i can drift it. just to be different and, maybe make burnouts easier

hmmm, I know of no one that has done so, but gee, now that you mention it that little place that you speak of is perfect for such a thing and I wonder if there arent other models with a similar console layout that do have the hand brake there.

yeah. i've seen other cars with a handbrake there but i can't remember which ones. i'll be out at pull-a-part on sat looking for a rear axle for my buddies rock buggy so i'll look around and see what i find

Somebody on ClubGP a long time ago did this mod. I believe he used pieces from a WRX? Either way i'm not much of a fan of handbrakes, infact, thats the one and only thing I hate on my Trailblazer! LOL

Nah, I drive the white one pictured in my sig. I have several photos in my photobucket. Its a 2-door GTP sunroof car w/ aftermarket hood, spoiler, wheels, etc. I also drive a 00' GTP and its a 2-door sunroof car as well, for appearance all its got is wheels. I also drive a white TBSS on chrome 20s and it has a Flowmaster exhaust.

Just don't go try using it to drift or something stupid like that. You'll wear your parking brake shoes out and crack the rear rotors if you try to apply it while moving a few times.

modded hondas are generally gay to begin with let alone when they start pretending they are rwd. lol
