| and to answer your next question(s) 2. yes, they can be removed and replaced via a press. 3. yes, you can order the bushing from GM, no need to buy a completely new replacement control arm 4. yes, I have done this myself. I fully seam welded my arms, and had them powder coated red, once done, I installed new bushings, both the forward one, and the rear one on both sides. Strong as hell still and were going on 8 years now. ~F~ |

| Though, if you don't have the press or know someone with access to one, it is cheaper to order the control arm since you'll have new front and rear bushings with a new ball joint. |

| Hmm, okay no press. So what does a control arm cost? Oriellys said it was a special order part and had no price. I havent figured out how to get them out, I was kinda thinking an air hammer. But would a vice put them back in or does it take larger amounts of force? Like a bottle jack and an upside down U shaped thing made of some angle or 1/2 inch plate? |
