Caliper Polishing

My calipers are pretty rusty and gross looking. How hard would it be to clean them off and polish them nice and shiny. What would I need and how would I do it?

polish would take some work, you need to sand them, then just polish until they look good to you, expect a ton of hours and no fingerprints when done
