| the lower the better as well as the biggest sway bars/trailing arms/LCAs/etc. tires are going to make a big difference too. less side walls make it easier.

| Thanks Bio. Can you order the GMPP handling package from GM still or do I need to find it used somewhere? My dad does work for GM so I would be able to get it at his cost. I am working out a deal for a GTP with a guy in California as we speak. |

| i dont have this kit. i did have the sway bars at one point, but sold them due to not caring about how the car handles anymore. i have the bar they provide on the rear of my car and a different one on the front that i like a lot more. i believe though that the package is sway bars, trailing arms, and a strut tower brace.

| Ah okay. Well the car I am looking at has Eibach Springs and KYB Struts but just want to have that overall handling. Do you think there is better stuff out there than the GMPP Package? The Motor is bored .10 over 9:5:1 with forged pistons, Intense Stage 3 Heads w/ roller rockers and hardened push rods, Stage 3 Blower Cam, 3" pulley, Stage 3 Intense PCM, CAI, Ported Throttle Body with spacer, 42.5 Injectors and new fuel rail, Intercooler under the supercharger and heat exchanger in front of the radiator, Headers with 3" exhaust and High flow cat and Flowmasters solid motor mounts, bigger brakes and 18's. It also has a new tranny but stock. So I think motor wise I am good to go but I just want to look at improving the suspension. I would like to autocross it if possible. Thanks for your help |

| ^ wow sounds like your pretty well off in the engine bay. Yea like bio said the lower the better. And for tires i suggest r compounds. A buddy of mine autocrosses an he swears by them. hes run on all kinds of diff tires an he likes them the best. he said they even helped to improve his times. he runs a subaru 2.5 rs with sti suspension an r compounds an does really well at the track.

| if you really want to get into making your car super low and want the ability to change heights to play with it then look into coilovers. there is only one company that i know that makes them for us and they used to go by Held Motorsports, but they changed their name. they are very expensive though for what they are. you can get the ones from intense, but then you have to get rid of the rear sway bar which is stupid in itself. your other option for being super low is getting intrax springs. they will basically slam your car and youll know it with how it rides. these springs will eat struts for dinner. as far as sway bars/trailing arms/strut tower braces the bigger the better too. BMR and speedbuilt made the biggest sets, but they are also rare as hell because im not sure that they are made anymore. the 18s are kind of a rough issue though. they will help because sidewall roll is decreased, but they are also heavier. im not sure that youll have a problem with them since you have a pretty well maxed out motor setup with your blower, but its just something to think about. how wide of tires are you running? if i was doing autocross i would shoot for at least 255 series tires. maybe it would be a good thing for you to invest in a nice wide set of 17s and throw some big meats on them? thatd be up to you. either way have fun with it. i was always into taking turns instead of going in a straight line too. ill leave straight line performance to the boat-esque v8s being made these days.

| I will be in my new car, but I wouldn't do any auto-x with a w-body.

| Why not? I know a few people who do it. The low end torque of the 3800 really helps out. It's not the best car for auto-x but I'm sure it wouldn't be the worst thing to use. Hell, there were some people that auto-x'd in the b-body impala. |

| with the right setup this car would rock for autocross. the problem with it is that its an automatic so staying in a gear for engine braking and quick cornering is a little more difficult.

| Well I am new to the whole gtp scene as far as owning one but you sure can autocross W-Bodys. Check this out: 450+whp Buick Regal Autocrossing - Car Videos on StreetFire I think you will really enjoy it. I was trying to see if I could find this guy on this forum to find out about his suspension but have yet too. |

+1! You might want to invest into some Magnesium Alloy OZ rims designed for rally. They are super light, and EXTREMEMLY durable. and i wouldnt go higher than a 16" rim unless you have brake calipers that wont fit. Personally I would run 225/45/15 Nitto NT-01 or any H rated tire so you could do 130 without your tread shredding off. |
