As long as the replacement here is the same over all length as the stock one, and from base to end of the tube it is housed in, then it should read exactly the same as stock. Same goes for the transmission.
Doing the same for my car currently, but only replacing the head/handle of the factory dip stick its self with a piece of billet aluminum. Remove roll pin from old handle, install new handle with a set screw done. Everything else stays the same for my design and set up. Including the o-ring on the handle head stays there.
Yours is pretty trick though, I like the new tube replacement. Braided stainless steel muuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm.
