Default Modified Transmission Pans

I am going to be making a run of Modified Transmission Pans

I am having 3 pans modded welding bungs in for draining transmission fluid easily! I will have more made if the interest is there. This will include bolt with sealing o-ring as well.

Price is $60+shipping+$20 core return. So basically $80+ shipping if you don't want to send your pan back.

Items are located in New Holland, PA

My heatware feedback is under incomudro101389

Pictures to come.

If you are interested please post. Any questions please e-mail mail me @ incomudrox@yahoo.com or PM on here. Aim is incomudrox.

So are you only getting the bung welded in?

It would be cool if you could get cooling tubes welded on.

Exactly what I was thinking. I also wish we could have a deeper pan safely as well. Maybe another 1/4 - 1/2" deep so we could hold a few more quarts of fluid.

How many cooling tubes do you guys think is sufficient enough to drop a few degrees? I was thinking 8 or so. This would be an option what i would have to see how much more it would bring the price up. Wouldn't have a problem doing this though.

That Im not sure of. Trannyman would be the only one that I would think would have any idea about that.

That's about how many the similar MSP pans had back in that day.

well if you go that route, any testing you could do the substantiate the cooling effects would be awesome. And if you are going to modify the pan to that point, it would seem beneficial to put an angled drain plug on the back side of the pan (facing away from the front of the car) so that the potential for anything to get snagged on it would be reduced. In addition, jacking the front end up would move the fluid in that direction and more would be drained out.

As far as the cooling tubes, you could use square 1/4 tubing or round, your choice. It does greatly help reduce the oil temps at the pan. I used to own the MSP pan.

It would also be nice to have a temp port added as well as the drain. The MSP pan had a block welded to it and holes drilled into the block and then the two holes were 1/8NPT. 1 you could drain the fluid out of and the other was used as a temp port. they were facing 90* from each other.

Thats a good idea japslpr, with the temp port. My only concern with the cooling tubes is if they are 'tube's then the air in the tubes would serve as an insulator, would then not? Would it not be better for them to be solid? Just thinking out loud here.
