I have been working on a project that is nearing completition, and i would like to know if anyone is interested in some M112 hybrid plates?
These will be similar to ZZP/overkill's plates but they have a few changes made and have had all the "issues" fixed on them. They will need no grinding or modifications made to the plates or bolts/pins themselves.
The only thing you need is an m112 snout/rotors which you can pick up from SVT forums or mustang forums or even ebay with 5k-30k miles for around $300. I may be stocking some in the near future depending on project interest. You can sell the empty case to a mustang guy for a spare for porting and get $75 usually.
You will also need alt relocation brackets if you already dont have them if you are a 99-03 person. If you are a 97/98 GP person you will need the newer style alternator or an 04+ setup if you dont already have it.
The ends of the rotors will need to be shortened a little bit where the round part goes into the bearings. The m112 case bearings are a bit longer than the m90's. I will have actual length of how much needs to be cut off soon.
You will need to up your pulley size by as much as .6" due to the higher efficiency and more airflow of the M112. If you have a gen V already you may not need to change .6 it may be more like .45". A 2.8" on a m112 hybrid is a LOT of boost and you will need big heads/cam, full exhaust, full size intercooler, and other supporting mods to run it. A 3.4" at smallest is recommended to start with before you start playing around with more boost, depending on your current pulley size. (If you are maxing out a 2.55, chances of running a smaller pulley than 3.4" is pretty good!)
I have material on hand for 4 of these plates at the moment due to the outrageous cost of aluminum right now, but i plan on making more if I can get anyone interested.
I have 90% of the CNC program written for these plates and I will be producing some this coming week.
Price will be about $550 shipped for the base kit with all bolts/pins. M112 not included in that price.
Machined snouts or blower porting might also be an option in the future.
Is this something anyone might be interested in?
