Default GI: M112 hybrid plates/kits

I am new to this forum, but I am a long time member of CGP by the same name.

I have been working on a project that is nearing completition, and i would like to know if anyone is interested in some M112 hybrid plates?

These will be similar to ZZP/overkill's plates but they have a few changes made and have had all the "issues" fixed on them. They will need no grinding or modifications made to the plates or bolts/pins themselves.

The only thing you need is an m112 snout/rotors which you can pick up from SVT forums or mustang forums or even ebay with 5k-30k miles for around $300. I may be stocking some in the near future depending on project interest. You can sell the empty case to a mustang guy for a spare for porting and get $75 usually.

You will also need alt relocation brackets if you already dont have them if you are a 99-03 person. If you are a 97/98 GP person you will need the newer style alternator or an 04+ setup if you dont already have it.

The ends of the rotors will need to be shortened a little bit where the round part goes into the bearings. The m112 case bearings are a bit longer than the m90's. I will have actual length of how much needs to be cut off soon.

You will need to up your pulley size by as much as .6" due to the higher efficiency and more airflow of the M112. If you have a gen V already you may not need to change .6 it may be more like .45". A 2.8" on a m112 hybrid is a LOT of boost and you will need big heads/cam, full exhaust, full size intercooler, and other supporting mods to run it. A 3.4" at smallest is recommended to start with before you start playing around with more boost, depending on your current pulley size. (If you are maxing out a 2.55, chances of running a smaller pulley than 3.4" is pretty good!)

I have material on hand for 4 of these plates at the moment due to the outrageous cost of aluminum right now, but i plan on making more if I can get anyone interested.

I have 90% of the CNC program written for these plates and I will be producing some this coming week.

Price will be about $550 shipped for the base kit with all bolts/pins. M112 not included in that price.

Machined snouts or blower porting might also be an option in the future.

Is this something anyone might be interested in?

Please reply with interest if anyone might want one.

Thanks,
-Kyle

They say they flow like 27% more. I know a guy selling a blower and every thing needed (he's going turbo) If you have questions on what he thought of the Gen 3 M112 i can give you his name

I cappin! I'd really like to see it working that everything lines up pulley to crank.

This is cool, but how much would you actually save over buying a whole m112 setup and adapting it to the intake? I am just curious of this, although the idea of keeping my stock case intrigues me.

You save a considerable amount of money as opposed to buying an "M112 setup" if i think your referring to the MP112 like intense sells.

Using a gen 3 case allows you to run your current intercooler setup, your current throttle body setup, MAF, and intake setup. No buying new intercooler cores or new throttle bodies or adaptors, so it saves you a TON of money over going Gen V too.

The stock L67 belt will line up almost perfectly but not exact, it will be slightly but not enough to notice or make a difference. The belt will not rattle around or have any 'jumping' problems. It will be fine.

This will move a TON of air, and one of the original hybrids just dynoed 386whp... It moves so much air it actually will suck the air through the gen 3 casing fast enough to make the inlet slightly more efficient also.

And yes, you probably have the same screwdriver. They are cheap as hell at walmart.

Almost everyone i have talked to that bought original kits loved them, but moved on to different setups, such as something less for a DD or turbos, or demods... but many still running setups.

how much of a diff is there in the outlet of the gen 3 to the m112 case? angle of the rotors?and would it be more optimal to try and match the outlet of the gen 3 to the m112 case ,that prolly depends on the diff right?

It is exactly the same outlet angle, but the outlet of the gen 3 case "could" be extended slightly further to have more rotor coverage. I am working on this, but the use of a different I/C would be needed. Perhaps I will make kits for gen v intercoolers in the future. But the lobe angle is the same, as well as the outlet angle (they match).

Program is written in full, and the first run of plates will be tomorrow. They will all be checked, deburred, test fitted, double checked, and all tolerances will be triple checked.

If you want one, please let me know soon. They will not last long.
