Default AVC Clear Headlight covers

i have 2 sets
one set only on car for 2 days = 45.00 shipped...sold pending payment
one set brand new still in plastic = 55.00 shipped

Alright, Im going to ask a stupid question because I am not familiar with these. Can you drive with these on? I assume they are for keeping the headlights safe from rocks and all sorts of things that could damage them?
