Default Pioneer P6000UB Installed!

Personally I just got the P6000UB myself. With s1795so2's help I was able to hook it into my Bose amp via the remote cable off the Pioneer headunit into the Bose plug and walla! It had a really good sound with the factory Bose speakers, but Steve gave me a great deal on some new Memphis 6.5" front speakers and some kick ass Infinity Reference 6x9s for the rear and BAM!!! Talk about a difference!!!

I just got the Infinities installed yesterday and my god the bass is amazing. I was able to modifiy the Boses brackets that held the old factory Bose speakers to mate perfectly with the Infinities. And the bass from them is amazing!

Now I just need to get my Subzero case and 12" Rockford Fosegate Punch with the Hiphonics amp and I will be set!!!

Personally you can't wrong with any high end Pioneer head unit!!! And got mine at Best Buy as well for $249 bucks as well.

And with my unit I dont carry any CDs in my car now. I just have two 4gb USB thumb drives that carry all my music and the 6000 just rips through the USB drive like there is no tomorrow!!

I just wanted to thank Steven, aka s1795so2 on the boards, for ALL his help in making this happen!! If it wasnt for him, I would have never gotten my headunit to mate with my factory Bose amp.

I just need to finish the project by getting one of the Humont Grand Prix brackets with the Blue LED background to really set it off And I will post pics once that is completed!

for couple more dollars you could of got the p7900. i got it from best buy too saturday. the animated and screen saver is awesome! i don't think the 6000 have any animated screen saver that's why i didn't get it. mine have built in bluetooth. it even come with mini microphone. i haven't try using the phone yet cause i'm not sure if my phone has bluetooth built in.

Ahhh. Gee James you are making me blush here. haha.

The 6000 wasn't on clearence in our district when he bought it., as chicago is a different best buy district than the lou. Either way it is still 100 dollas more here still.
The 6000 has the animated screen savers, it is the 5000 that doesn't

Hiya Silver, I looked at the 7900, but the BT feature didnt grab me. I already run my BT headset off my phone so I am pretty much set there. I dont really need to see who is calling on my radio anyways.

Yes like Steven said, the 6000 has a number of screen savers. And there are a few I enjoy more than others. But I am just simply impressed by the performance of the 6000, I am sure the 7900 is just as rockin as my 6000. I think the wattage and stuff are the same, just about the only real difference I could glean from the two was the BT option. But 6000 is BT ready, I would just need to buy the adpater if I ever felt the need.

The only issue I have with my Bose amp is the fact that the rear 6x9's only run the bass out of them and not enabling the mid range or tweeters. I am sure its a crossover feature that the Bose has, but I am ok with that for now until I can pony up more cash to get a real AMP in there.

Just baby steps...but the baby is starting to STOMP LOUDER

well that's cool if you happy with the 6000. the 6000 was my first choice actually. i was about ready to buy it, but one of the installer overheard me talking to the sales guy and told me about the clearance. the manager was going to give me $200 for the 6000. i really like the black face on the 6000, the only thing i don't like about the 6000 was the big control knob. it's just little bigger than the 7900. yeah i'll post some pics as well once i get all my control buttons i sent out to install led in.

$200 bucks!!!!! Man you are so lucky! I paid $249 for mine about a month back! I would have jumped on that one The control knob is bulky no doubt, but after a day of using it, I have become quite proficent at using it.

I mainly miss my wheel controls. I might have to at sometime break down and get that PAC controller to fix that problem

the wheel control sux i never use it even thought it's there. i don't even use the remote. don't know why, but i alway end up using the knob. same way with my previous pioneer stereo too, i always end up buying the fancy one and never use all the accessories that came with. . well here some pics of my 7900. i know my air bag is missing. like i said i'm waiting for the rest of the control buttons to get back from bbengineer.

Great pics Silver, I hope you turned off the Demo Mode by now? *chuckles*

Did your Monte come with the Blue LED layout for the entire dash and A/C controls or did you modify it? It looks freaking sweet!!
