I belive so. Didn't seem to affect mine any not being hooked to any thing. Xcept the wheel controls.

Yes it was. I ended up finding a rubber gromet on the passenger side. It was like doblr layered. Pain in my arse!!!

wait your wheel controls work??? mine dont after i took the stock cd player w/ eq out the wires for the wheel must be the extra wiring harness. So yours is a aftermarket headunit and ur wheel controls work?

YEAH! thats what i did i went threw the same hole u r talking about i bet! Sadly i did cause damage when installing the wiring :{ i tried covering the wires under the side plastics on the inside of the car. and on the drivers front the 3rd screw away from the door "by the pontiac sill" i cracked "not off but almost" a peice of plastic that i hopefully want to mend back together! "the screw was stripped so i tried lifting it up and stuffing the remote wire and rca cables underneath it

NO, they don't. wrong choice of words.lol!!! I meant to say that the only thing that didn't work was the wheel controls and it was only that one plug left. So I figured that's what it was for. But, there is a piece you can buy and hook up to the wheel controls if you AM HU has remote capabilities.

Awsome man. I can't wait to get started on my new system. 2 Fosgate 12's with a 1500 watt Fosgate amp. Just have to get the time to build my box. Also going to rewire evrything and get a new HU.

i hear you there! i went to best buy GET THIS! i bought 450W 6x9 kenwoods for only 60 bucks "display modes got a amazing break and they were like new! Then the display like new kenwood headunit i got for only 65 bucks bluetooth and xm ready i love the unit! i scored big time when i was there. i got the amp and sub "kenwood aswell" from ym dads buddy for only 100 bucks box,sub, wiring, installing it in my previious truck and the amp.
