Default Rant for me.

1. Its that time of year, were going to get snow, ice, and morning frost on our vehicles that are left out side.

In the morning/early afternoon, people are driving with a 4"x4" hole made on the windshield driving. ? Clean the crap off, wake up early, and warm up your car, and scrap it off! Your going to cause an wreck!

Other thing that pisses me off is people who do not clean off their cars. They have built up snow, or ice on the top or on their pick up bed covers, and as they drive it will crack and break off and go flying at you. Snows ok to deal with...but ice...that can f-somebody's vehicle up big time!

Just bothers me how inconsiderate people are now a days.

/end rant.

I feel ya Farns. It looks odd, but when it snows or we have an ice storm, Im in the car wash getting all that crap off just for the reasons you mentioned. The ice storm we just had, the day after there were people driving down the road and you could see these monster sheets of ice flying off.

I dont have to take my car to the car wash so much now because I have a garage, but when I had to park outside I made time to be at the car wash. In fact, I remember one year that we had an ice storm and I had ice build up on the wheels and the sucker shook and rattled like crazy until I stopped at the car wash and cleaned all the ice off the wheels to restore the balance.

i always clean off my car, any scratches that the ice or brush could leave could easily be buffed out.

I also get ticked at the people that don't bother to clean the snow off their brake lights, tail lights, and/or their rear-reflectors.

In most Northern states you're required to clean off your entire car, both for visibility (windshield, taillights, etc) and to prevent snow/ice from flying off and hitting the car behind you. Cops won't normally pull you over for it, but they'll charge you if it causes an accident and I think it's a pretty hefty fine.
