Default Mod advice from those w/o mods

I see this quite often were someone will ask for modding advice and or specific parts information. Then out of the woodwork comes people posting that have no firsthand experience with said mods. Especially annoying are those that give descriptions like that is crap, waste of money, this is the best etc. with no facts to backup their statements. It hard enough to get good unbiased sound advice in our community without someone with an intake and 3.4 pulley telling an inquiring mind what cam they should buy.

I know there are others that feel this way too, but may be to nice to say so.

Yep, this bothers me as well. I may not know a whole lot myself, but I try to share what I do know. People should speak only of what they know and nothing more. The last thing people need is to recieve advice from those who are just mindlessly repeating what they have heard.

Ill X2 that. I went ahead and decided to give the ZZP IC controler a try since Im short on money and decided to just make things as efficient as I can. Then others just tell me it was a waste of money and bla bla bla while having no clue on how it works or what happens when you go WOT.

On paper, it sounds great. Real world, not sure yet. We will know as soon as I stop being lazy and start installing parts and drive.

When I was a GTer, I just stopped asking questions cause GTP/L67 owners would just start spewing off while knowing NOTHING. LOL.

A friend of mine is thinking about that IC controller as well. Please give a full report not only at the track, but daily driving experience. Your Regal is a DD, or no? [/off topic]

[on topic] I don't mind opinions so much as long as they're backed up with links from reliable sources. A blanket statement, especially when I know the poster doesn't have the mod(s) in question, is a waste of everyones time.IMO

Yes, the Regal is a DD. It may be another month or so before it gets in. Just a FYI.

No problem. We still need to know your thoughts, no matter how long it takes.

All problems can be fixed by a top swap or a turbo.
