i live 5 miles from Manhattan, i remember that day like it was yesterday. 5 of my friends brothers died in that from engine company 226. as well as losing a family member that was also in the FDNY keep your liberal bull**** to yourself. you my friend are whats wrong with this country, why don't you go convert to Islam? believe whats been told to me? i was there i saw those towers fall. my new york city skyline is not the same anymore. what evidence to you have from planet crackpot? i guess you wear tin foil hats so the government cant read your mind from space too right?

Qwik sums up my feelings quite well on this.

This type of talk is VERY volitale, and to some more painful than others. I too had a fellow high school classmate who was on the second plane that slammed into the Towers. So I can certainly impathize with Qwik.

This inclusion of stupid conspriacies will lead to this post/thread being locked.

Just my thought on that.

Personally I dont think we should "get over it." Why? Cause it was a terrible thing that happened and no one should ever forget the freedoms we have and for those who have died in wake of our freedoms. Freedom does come at a cost, and a lot of times it is brave men and women in our military and unfortuately innocent civilians, like those in the towers and the brave firefighters, police, EMS and others who risked their lives trying to save others.

That is why I have my license plate and I display it proudly so that I will never forget nor that I hope anyone else ever forgets!



Truly we are a blessed nation to have the freedoms to do the things we do. Even for those who post comments about conspriacies and a like. That is what makes our country so great! And no one should ever forget that and NEVER forget those who sacrificed their lives for OUR country!!

I agree with you completely Lee. They should run that footage at least monthly and remind people what we faced and what we are dealing with now. At this rate it wont be long we'll have a generations of kids asking "Whats 9/11?" I wonder how many actually remember the first attack?

I remember it like it was yesturday. I was sitting at a light getting ready to make a left turn onto a navy base to make a delivery when it happened. Couldn't make a cell phone call to my boss to tell him that I got turned away, traffic was worse than usual because everyone was in shock of what had just happened and was getting my truck search on just about every road I turned down. Had to spend 18 months away from my family to go over there and do what I had to do. Do my job everyday along with our other full time military members in this country and alot on this very forum so we can continue to be able to trick out or cars and go to the track, take our loved ones out and have fun and not have to worry if anything is going to happen. I just want to thank all the military that is serving overseas and here in country, police, firefighters, and rescue workers that put their life on the line every day to make this such a great country to live in.
