Default Updates, Changes, Additions, Oh My!

Well in case you haven't noticed already we have been busy making some changes. Just a few notes on what has been done:

1. Updated the Forum software - This brings the software up to date as well as adds some new features which more information will be posted up about later. We will work on getting some information on how to use all the new features as well.

2. New template in place - You can already see this. Everything has been made more uniform across the board (no pun intended).

3. How To Section is up - Look in the upper right hand section of the page, you will see a link to the How To section. I would greatly appreciate it if you browse this area and like what you see that you give a big shout out to Webracin (Chris) because he has been VERY hard at work on this even working on it during his vacation time.

I would also consider it a personal favor if you would give a big shout out to Rocket468 (Chance) because he has been working feverishly on the templates and software upgrades all the while putting up with me and working without power and still dealing the the business of Devils Own. If you had any questions about our commitment to making this a successful and enjoyable place then I think the actions and work of those two should put those questions to rest.

Please, please if you like it here and enjoy what you are seeing, let them know. I can tell you that when I see the positive comments here about everything that is going on, it makes me just drive that much harder to try and do more. I can tell you that Chance and Chris also feed off your recognition of their hard work.

Just because we have gotten through the first little bit of work doesn't mean that we are stopping here. We will continue to pursue efforts to make this the most enjoyable place on the internet to be. But as I have bellowed since this site came on line, we need YOU. You participating, getting involved and so on goes a long way with that goal.

This is YOUR community. We have a vision, goals and ideas, but all of you have a hand in it and play a big part in seeing everything come to fruition. I am eager to see where we can take all this and I'm very happy to see all the people that have stepped up and have been contributing and look forward to more.

If you have any trouble with anything, please let us know and we will do all we can to make corrections as quickly as we can.

It whines a lot, but I like it.

HOW TO section........

Here is how it works.....If you have a write-up you would like to submit, you can either post it up here on the forum (which it will eventually get migrated over to the how to section) or email it to webracin or SyntheticShield and we will get it added.

If you post it, when it gets posted over to the how to section, the end of the title will be modified by putting a * at the end of your title. Once it has been there for a week or so, the writeup will be replaced with a link to your write-up in the how to section.

We have a long way to go with adding write-ups, so check back often. We just wanted to get this info out to you so you can see the direction we are going and the layout for what kind of info is needed when submitting a write-up

I think the place looks stellar guys, honestly. And all the How To's in one place is a great idea and looks good to. I like the idea of not having to use search and sifting though endless posts to find a particular How To I need. This will be MUCH more user friendly. Great work!
