Default Time to Re-Install!!

Reinstalling the freshly rebuilt tranny in my 01 gt tomorrow. Have a couple of questions i want to throw out to the community. 1.) is it best to start with the torque converter mounted on the tranny & then rotate to bolt it to the flywheel, or try and line up the tranny to it already attached to the flywheel? 2.) After installation how many qts of dex should I add at first & what would be the correct procedure for filling it?
Thanks in Advance!

the converter goes in the trans first. the trans is gunna take about 14 qts of dex 6. i would fill it with about 9 qts, start it up and add accordingly. post some pics of that yellow Prix, it looks good!

Yep, what QwikGT said. Mine too about 14 qts, although I think i started mine at 11 or 12, I can't remember. We let it idle for a bit, shift it through the gears several times, and kept topping it off till it stayed. Then took it for a drive around the block and checked the fluid again, I believe we ended up adding another quart after that drive and all was good. Course I checked it several times during the week just to make sure.

Also, before installing the torque converter, besure to fill it up with fluid before installing on the tranny...
