i was told also that i think in like 99 and newer they have 1.66 rockers from the factory so add .020 to your lift numbers if your 99 or newer....

rockers on a stock cam make the valve open further, it will not change anything else that can help power (duration is the time the valves are open, overlap is the amount of time both valves are open both effect power) to me rockers are a poor mans cam, to do it right you replace the cam (my opinion only)

okay, i see. are rockers safe to use for an extended amount of time?? i would asume so. and how do you install a cam. do you have to remove the whole topend or can you go in threw the side?? does the engine need to be pulled out for this??

I don't see a way to pull the cam with the engine in the car completely as the inner fender is in the way, you pull the intake, and rockers leave the heads on unless there is a problem that needs addressed, rockers should be fine as long as the rest of the engine is in good condition (if the oil hasn't been changed since it was new don't try and add power basically)

Cam install with the engine in isn't bad. You remove everything but the heads/exhaust manifolds (so you can remove the lifters). Remove the lifters...

Then, open up the front and remove the cam. Tons of people have done it on the motor still installed, just go through the wheel well. I've never heard of someone pulling the engine just to install a cam.

Pulling the engine isn't much worse than that, though. All you'd need to do is detach a few cables, hoses, and manifolds then unbolt the flywheel and lift.

You have to losen all 4 cradle bolts, then drop the passenger side...but you have to be careful not to let it down too far or you'll pop your steering shaft loose.
