Default Window problem

So it's the middle of summer and I've run into a problem.

My windows won't roll down. More importantly, my driver's side window won't roll down. I can however roll down my passenger side window. BUT I can only roll it down using the passenger side switch. Using the driver's side double switch i can't roll down either window. I have checked the connection on the underside of the double switch and it is solid.

::edit:: BTW it's a '97 grand prix gt coupe.

Sounds like you need a new switch. Happened to me in mine, except I have a 4 dr and when mine went out, all 4 couldn't be rolled down. Do you have any friends with a 2 dr? If so, borrow there switch and see if it works before you buy one. That should be your problem though.

Yep, definitely sounds like a problem with the switch. There's a write up in the how-to section on how to clean the internal contacts if you're up for giving that a try.

Thanks. I was assuming it was the window switch but I wanted to explore my options first.
