Motor questions, installing a supercharger

This is a discussion on Motor questions, installing a supercharger within the 3.8L V6 Naturaly Aspirated (L36)(L26) forums, part of the W Body Tech category; Is there any way to supercharge and normal 3.8l v6, and is so what would it take....

If you have the L36 motor (newer GP) then you cannot add a supercharger. The motor already has a 9:1 compression. You need bring the compression down before you can add a supercharger onto it. I also have not seen any aftermarket superchargers for the newer gp.
