9.5:1 I thought..... and higher compression supercharged, just means a little more power on the same boost and a little less timing

Like your other posts on the subject, that's typical of a programmed "Mr. Goodwrench" response who knows little to nothing about it.

1.) The L36 is not in the newer GP (actually the L26, L36 was 97-03 GPs, 00-05 Impalas, and some Regals that I can't remember the exact years).
2.) The L36 and L26 are 9.5:1 compression engines.
3.) The compression does not need to be changed.
4.) Aftermarket superchargers are not needed when we have our choice of either a Gen III Eaton M90 or Gen V Eaton M90 which GM already handily made compatible with our engines.

See what i was told was that on these engines that if you add any kind of forced induction it will burn up the motor like none other. All of the mechanics in my shop have said the same thing. I have a 2005 GP and i cannot find anything for the car. I want to make it fast and I want to supercharge it but i cant find a supercharger for my motor that i have. I sent out a thred a while back and everyone said that zzperformance had it but I could not find them anywhere what so ever. I also wanted to change the heads and camshaft out and change out the PCM and beef up the tranny. But i cant find anything anywhere.

Having an 05 "should" make it even easier as you're already drive by wire and shouldn't need to mess with the TB and or MAF. You'll need a Gen V blower and LIM and the rest of the pulley and brackets from the L67/L32.

They're idiots. Factory non-supercharged 3800s run around with turbos and/or superchargers every day and they're fine.

ZZP has what they call the L36 SS M90 kit. It allows you to bolt a Gen III M90 (from the Series II 3800) onto a L36 (Series II 3800). I'm not sure if it's compatible with the Series III engine like you have, but that doesn't mean the engine will "burn up".

I don't see how that makes it any easier. He still has to pull the heads for L67/L32 heads to do a top swap.

and just so you know pretty much EVERYTHING for the 97-03 gp will fit on the 04+ the only difference that i can think is we have different style throtle bodies. im sure they have those too. camshafts, rockers, exhaust all fit our car as well as the older gp's. you can also get a built tranny from tranny man also.

your mechanics are retarted.
