Default L26 / L36 flexplate interchangeable?

So the L26 has the powdered metal versus cast (?) rods of the L36, right?

I imagine that would give the L26 rods a different weight?

So then, is the L26 crankshaft different? (or weighted differently)?

Ultimately, would the flexplates (flywheel) between an L36 and L26 be interchangeable?

OK, here's a question. After digging around some more, I believe I read a post on this very forum stating that the 2005+ Series 3 flexplates (for L32, anyway) are "dual pattern" (i.e., drilled for both 245 and 258 mm torque converter). Can anyone confirm this? And does it apply to L26 also?

Thanks
