| Which heater core hose is the inlet and which is the outlet? I'm afraid mine might be hooked incorrectly. Could someone look at their grand prix and see which hoses go where? Would be really appreciated. Heres a diagram to show how my hoses are connected. ![]() The pink is connected to the top hole in the firewall. The blue is connected to the bottom hole in the firewall. Is this correct? Which of these are intake and which is the outlet? |

| The heater core is symmetrical, It shouldn't make a difference.....

| Interesting. It just seemed odd that the hoses were crossed. Just didn't seem logical. Thanks for the picture sabre. That was just what i needed. And 02BlueGT, i switched my heater core hoses and im still not getting heat, so i guess you are right. If neither of my heater core hoses are getting hot, what could be the problem? I've topped off the coolant and bled the lines, so what else could be going on? |

| You're welcome. Now I can go put it back together since you don't need any more pics.

| If the core is plugged the lines won't heat up cause there is no flow, when you had them off, you can blow through one(be careful, you don;t want to ingest any coolant) and see if anything comes out the other end, sometimes the Dexcool sludge can build up and cause problems

| Easy way to check is when the engine is warm, feel both hoses. If one is much hotter than the other, the core is clogged.

| I'm going to try backflushing them again. I just flushed my entire cooling system with some radiator cleaner stuff. Didn't seems to do too much but it may have loosened up any clogs :S I bought the prestone flush 'n fill kit, but i didnt really feel like cutting my heater core lines if i didnt know which one was intake and which was out. |
