Default Cost efficient mods

i have a '99 GP GT, 4-door and bone stock, i bought it used and its about time to replace the plugs and wires, so i was just wondering if the "Performance Iridium 4" plugs actually give any kind of power increase/ mpg increase or if they just say that to get more money

also thinking of a K&N air filter just for fun but i want to know if their worth the money

P.S. - im trying to beat this tool at work with an Integra who just barely beats me from a 20 roll so any advise is greatly appreaciated

You can make FWI for like 40 bucks from stuff from home depot.

As for general tune-up stuff. Get some NGK TR-55 gapped at .60 and a 180 thermostat.

You can have the Ubend also removed from behind the cat.

Best plugs for a mostly stock car are the AC Delco iridiums.

headers, exhaust, and intake will do the trick. Thats like 50 HP right there or you could just get nitrous, but don't go more than a 50-75 shot. Some people go over to 104 shot, but thats just crazy unless you get forged pistons.

You've got to be joking. Headers, exhaust, and intake on a L36 will probably net maybe 20HP.

What are you? A noob?

My SLP header gave me 25 hp, SLP exhuast = 15 hp, and K&N intake = 17 hp. A total of 57 hp added on.

For the 99 looking at the mods I see that the K&N intake gives him 13hp, SLP headers =25hp, and SLP exhaust = 15hp. A total of 53hp.

The headers gives him the 20 hp you said and 5 hp more. Just go on 3800performance and look up the parts and hp.
