Your so smart, I've been in the GP community for 6 years and I still wish I could be as smart as you. Dipsh*t.

OMFG IVE BEEN IN THE GP COMMUNITY FOR 6 YEARS, BOW DOWN I KNOW ALL OMFG OMFG OMFG!!!

I do love how you call people names before you pull your head out of your own ass and look at how retarded your posts really are. I guess GP's are a rare bunch, I mean none of the mods on other 3.8 cars or GM's ( keeping it in the family) do the same thing that the GP's do when rigged. Its ok, keep E-Thuggin, it makes me laugh.

Im not keen on GP's first one Ive owned, got a good deal, its still a junk pontiac. Ive owned other cars with alot more potential then GP's offer.

With the tranny abuse modes disabled, all some of the heaviest modded Impalas have to do is hit the button. I personally can stomp on it all day with the TCS off and the tires will spin until something breaks. The car never tries to stop it.

Tell me how it's active then? If it's active its not doing a flippin' thing. You guys keep saying its active even with the Trac Off button pushed. What does it do then that makes you think its active? Unfortunately I can't pull the ABS fuse on my car since that is also a portion of the PCM's power and the car won't start. I can probably pull the connector off the ABS module and I guarantee it won't make a difference.

Okay, I read through this thread and while I dont mind you all debating whether the TCS switch actually turns off TCS or not, I do mind the language and the hinted and directed attacts at one another. Please, lets take it down a little and keep it civil.

Then go do us all a favor. Buy a GTO. Since they have A LOT more potential, and join LS1GTO

In the mean time quit dogging on someone who actually cares about the GP community unlike you since they tend to be a junk Pontiac.

Dang been away for awhile and wow look what I started, Anyway seeing this argument going on, is interesting, and what not, that's how we newbe's learn
different aspects of the toppic come out and we learn about them. Love it,
thanks gentlemen.

I my wife, and kids love this Pontiac Grand Prix SE, best car we ever owned, powerfull, Beautifull, roomy, great gas milege, nice stereo sound, handle's excelent in the snow.
Don't see why you have to call it a junk pontiac, no need to explain either. I don't want to screw anything up by trying to show off in front of my friends at work, or people next to me reving there engine's at stoplights, allthough I love the burnouts, so I will save it for my oldsmobile 2.3liter Dohc quad4 w/the 5 speed tranny.
The reason I asked about burnouts was cause I seen people with automatic tranny's lay down a 10 - 20 foot tire smoking burnout. but I think it was the old school hot rods. My olds does it just fine, but its a stick and left many V6's & V8's in my rear view mirror when challenged.
Anyway keep up the thread learning a lot about this and thanks for the responses.

By "JUNK" I mean run of the mill, mass produced passenger vehicles. I personally use mine for a daily driver, its not MY toy,I got two toddlers I dont get toys anymore. I do enjoy mine, its perfect for what I need/use it for, gas mileage could be alot better,( mine does not get the window sticker/review's rated MPG, its no better then my TBI 4.3 S-10 was @ 16 years old w/ 160K on it, opposed to my 5K.)

How many miles are on the 97? one of the reasons yours might not be able to do a burnout like you described is the mileage and the past care of the drive/power trains. My 92 s-10 couldnt do a burnout, it was neglected by previous owner. My 91 s-15 however was very well taken care of and could leave 80' of rubber on the road at any given time. You might want to check alot of the drivetrain parts before you go beating on the family whip.
