| I've got the SLP set installed on my car and am pretty happy with it. Be aware that their flex pipe system is notorious on leaking, so you may want to replace that with a better quality one before the install. If you go with the combination Headers and Hi-Flow cat, you will probably have to upgrade or re-program your PCM so it will pass smog, not a big deal. Had my set on for a while now and have not had any problems passing N.Y. State smog. Be advised, I thought these were a real pain in the ass to install, but I'm sure any headers system for this vehicle is a pain. Don't know if anyone elsle wants to chime in. |

| You don't really need headers on a N/A 3.8. I would just go with a front powerlog and a 2.5" downpipe. You put too big of exhaust on your car you will lose low end torque, car will feel like a dog just cruising around. If you still wanted to get headers the SSAC off of ebay are a pretty affordable header and they have been put in a lot of cars lately with good results/ease install.

| before you decide you should ask yourself this question. How far are you going to take your build?

you dont need headers if youre staying n/a. if you want to go turbo then headers would be a waste of money. if youre planning on going blown then i see your point. what are you doing with your car?

| Headers are a no go on a stock N/A GT. Get a custom intake and save your money on that K&N junk. Money you save on making your own you can buy a Front Powerlog and catted Downpipe so your car will pass emissions.

but anyway I dont plan on adding turbo for awhile so headers, intake, cams, would be options now. |

| headers would be a waste of money. Most vendor turbo kits only bolt up to stock manifolds, and the stock ones are stronger, The zzp kit you need a different rear manifold. If anything id say get your intake, plog, and downpipe. You could still use the plog for turbo. As far as cams go...wait on it. Get a turbo cam when you go turbo. I don't really like cartuning kit. The Z7 kit is better imo

Not EBay intakes...custom...meaning you make it yourself. There is a write-up in the how to section. Read that before you waste nearly $400 on a intake.
OH...There it is LOL

| Dont spend $600+ on headers if you plan on going turbo down the road... Get a front stainless steel powerlog off of zzperformance.com Then save your money for turbo. I would look at the Z3 kit on zzperformance.com it is a base kit but its simple and has put out some good numbers for power so far for the cost of it. You could probably get away with getting that kit, some 1.9 rockers and piece together your own intercooler and run low 12's or high 11's. Then the tranny will probably start to give out.
