Im assuming that the coolant is not leaking externally?

do you know if the exhaust smells like coolant? try doing a compression check on it....also. they make a UV kit for coolant leaks. you add it to your cooling system..and they supply you with the light and glasses..

after a few cycles of driving. you can come back and use the light/glasses..and visually check for exterior leaking..just to rule it out.

if it is internal....possibly head gasket. it is a very common thing with the 3.4 DOHC. more than likely it is the rear head as well. you have done nothing wrong.....it happens with age.

well i did an intake manifold gasket on a friends car and not even two weeks later that seal went out if you look under the throttle body almost where the tranny and engine meet you will see this cap there and there is a seal there that should be replaced while the intake plenum just to save you from having to have it done again the shaft is like a foot long so in order to get it out you must take the upper plenum off.

Sorry for not really adding anything to this thread but you really need to just do a 3.8 sc swap ftw. Trannyman would probably be willing to help you out.
