Default Name that Mod!

Okay so I went ahead and bought this car - '01 GTP with 124k. I wanted to buy a stocker, and mod it myself, but this price was just too nice, so I bit.

Anyways, some mods are obvious, and other things I see I have no idea what they are...so if you see something that looks familiar, please chime in!

Starting with the easy stuff:

Are these braided brake lines from the cylinder stock or aftermarket?

Water pump and transmission look updated, replaced, refreshed?

In my other thread, you all commented that this is a GenV SC...does this still look like the case? Is the GenV more efficient than even a Series II SC?

Stock or aftermarket pulley?

These two things are located in the cubby just forward of the gear shift. The on off switch is just a toggle switch, and the ring around the base of it twists and has a "left", "center", and "right" position...the left and right position makes beeping sounds like when you first turn on a radar detector - I assume this is a hidden radar detector setup. Thing is, the knob in the center feels like an infinitely variable resistor, and doesn't seem to do anything when I rotate it left and right. Regardless of the position of the on-off toggle switch, the radar detector noise switch still makes noise when I rotate it, so I don't think the two things are related.

Okay, these next two things could be related to the last one. This wire comes through the firewall, follows tightly along this wire cluster, and goes down into some box underneath the intake...anyone have any idea what it is? What does this electrical box do (under the intake...in the front drivers side area)

Finally, I have no idea what this box does, but it seems aftermarket. It has a black wire (I assume ground...grounds in the engine area), and a red wire that goes back through the firewall. Maybe this is is connected to the on/off toggle switch? The output of the box has four blue wires, two go to the thing in the center of this next picture (I think something with idle, right there on the intake in the most upstream position), and two fuse with two other wires (green/black, and light blue/black) that go back into the loom and disappear. Any clue on this one?

I bet between the random wire, and the input (red wire) on the mystery box...one goes to the on/off toggle switch, and maybe the other one goes to the variable resistor knob, both in the cabin in the cubby (picture above). PLEASE post up if you can help me with any or all of this! Thanks in advance!

Oh, and two other things:

Is this a factory option stereo, or completely aftermarket? Rear looks like 8" and 6 1/2" separates, with component mids and tweeters in front.

Do these look like stock or shortened dogbones?

Thanks again!

From what I see in the photos:

Brake lines are factory flexible.....

GenV blower- yes more efficent

Aftermarket pulley system(hub/ etc)

box by the throttle body is an AFC(air fuel controller)

Factory Bose amp in the trunk, with a nice BMR STB.

I take it the wires running to your PCM are for a happy knob? I have never seen those ones in the center before. I am not even sure it is a happy knob........dont take my word for it. see if you cant get the PCM schematic and see which port the wires go into.

Sway Bar: SLP Sway Bars (Front and Rear Set): 3800 Performance

Strut Tower Brace: BMR Fabrication Strut Tower Braces: 3800 Performance

And not oil cap...Breather.

Brake Lines...Stock

New Water Pump/Gasket...maybe a rebuilt and cleaned up transmission?

Gen V Blower with what looks like a Trasher or DUB Pulley setup...

Switches under the dash...I say play with em until you figure out what they are Probably kill switches for something...

Stereo = stock option

And dog bones are stock.

i bet the one wire to the PCM is for Perf Shift since it wasn't an option in 01 and many get an aftermarket PCM and enable it and wire it up to work on 01-03s...

BTW, scan that car before you go hot rodding, otherwise you might be investing in a new bottom end......
