I thought it was pretty interesting. You can achieve laminar flow in bends if you know what to do, but there isnt many other places in a vehicle in which laminar flow is really beneficial. With regards to combustion chamber you want turbulent flow.

Laminar flow wings and a supercharged engine are what gave the P-51 such an advantage over its competitors in WWII.
