I'm just curious, i've heard 2 stage mentioned alot, I have no clue how it works...

ok here is the fast short short version.

4 solenoids.....2 nitrous, 2 fuel

when the first kit is activated..it activates 1 nitrous, as well as 1 fuel....ths 1st shot.

then when the rpms are right on the controller or they hit the other switch, then 2nd set opens ..thus 2 stages of nitrous.

basicly 2 kits in one.......

Ok, so whats the benefit?

On a regular kit, you can run for ex a 100 shot through the 1/4...

On a 2 stage you can run 100 shot in the begining, and a 150 shot at the end of the race? Is that right?

all depends on the type of solenoids and how big of a shot they can handle.

say a drag car has a two stage. he could spray the first shot off the line...do to traction he couldnt spray both....so he engages the 2nd shot a little farther down the track.

depending on the solenoids...they could have any size shot...1st shot could be 50-300, and the second shot could be 75-500........

in a drag car...with one shot..the car cold hit a low 11, and with a 2nd high shot....could possibly hit a high 9....or quicker. you have to have a built engine that could handle it, or know what you are doing....

but yes, on a normal kit you could run 50-150hp shot....

Cool. Makes sense now. I was just curious how it worked. I'm not planning on doing this or anything, I just wanted to know for myself. I figured it would take a built motor dedicated to Nitrous to run something like this...

Ok, this may sound dumb, but In the two-stage, is the second stage both open, or just the second nozzle open, and the first inactive?

I've got Boost!! I've got only 1.5* KR left my poor L36 block.....

when the first shot goes.....only the first one is open. but when the 2nd is activated....both spray at the same time...say you have a 150wet for the first stage, and a 200wet for the 2nd.

when both are activated.....you basicly have a 350wet shot......just make sure your car pointed straight
