| GT Level Member | I'll probably be able to make it again this year, even if I don't have a job, which is unlikely. But I gotta get my CV axles(or whatever they are) replaced, before I'm takin a 200+ mile roadtrip |

| GT Level Member | Well, theres grease on the frame right under the axle, and a very small amount on the underside of the hood. But when I go around turns and push the gas, the car has a violent shake, but only if I'm on the throttle. And it's always shaking lightly just going down the road. Could that be the Motor or Tranny Mounts??? |

| GT Level Member | Sound like it's just the boot that is bad. It's a typical wear-n-tear issue. I just had to replace my passenger side not too long ago. As far as your shaking problem, it could be a mount. How hard are you pushing the throttle around these turns?

| GT Level Member | Thanks Dave Matt, Just about any throttle and it starts shaking, the harder the throttle, the harder the shake. I think I'm just gonna put new motor mounts, tranny mount, passenger cv axles. Might as well just go ahead and get all new stuff, its got 107k on it. |

| SE Level Member | changing the axles isn't that bad of a job. I have replaced both mine. Like you are getting the heavy vibrations while accelerating, so was I. And it was CRAZY bad when getting onto an interstate while going around an on-ramp. If you do this yourself, remember to unplug your ABS/TCS plug on the wheel hub. I forgot.....$100 mistake, pulled the wires out of the hub, and it wasn't repairable. If you have ay questions about it, PM me. |
