i'll post this lil run-in race since its somewhat quiet in this section.
Was getting on the freeway to head home and I had to yield for the opposing traffic since they had the right of way to turn onto the onramp. This particular car I yielded to looked like a high-class audi from the front and as I followed after he took off onto the highway rather quick so I followed suit cause it caught my curiosity. I caught up to the car and was a legal car length behind, but I was able to make out the trim and on the left of the trunk it said A8L and on the right side said W12! It also had the square exhaust tips which after I had gotten home was any of the 2005+ with a base hp rating of 450hp.

Anyways I followed suit with the cutout opened and I just wanted a taste of a nice death. I ran against an MB AMG E63 and it killed me pretty bad with the 3.4” pulley, this time im ‘rocking’ the 3.1” lol. so I stayed a car length waiting for him to take off once the car in front of him moved as there was a nice clearing afterwards if he ever took off, which he did. I noticed his tips bursted with smoke and I gased it as well. This was from like at 80mph so I knew I wouldn’t really keep up. As we proceeded more and more in speed he didn’t pull rather I was pulling him and catching up to him. As I was closing in on him he switched lanes-still on the gas mind u-and as I crawled by him I barely caught a glimpse of the driver giving me a lil smirk behind the tinted windows. I kept pulling up to ~125mph and his front bumper was by my rear and I had to let off the throttle and brake.

He stayed a decent 3-4 cars behind me afterwards as I was cruising at 75mph. after a few miles and noticed traffic was clearing up again I switched to the slow lanes and waited him to pass and see if he was interested and as he passed me I followed after him but he didn’t seem to go this time around. Now im just confused, but im betting he didn’t really downshift at all(A8’s has tiptronic) but just floored it from either 5th or 6th gear.

I really wanted him to run all out and see how well I would of kept up but he didn’t want to go again. Again nothing spectacular, just did a little run with an A8 and the driver didn’t run full throttle.

also considering their weight disadvantage, how quick are they? dragtimes.com has shown a run by someone with a 13.6@105mph

That would have been nice to see...yeah I bet he was messing around. I just got my GTP and I'm surprised though at how well they do. I gave a new mustang GT a run for it's money...beat it off the line twice and he couldn't pull till after 65mph.

DAMN man, no offense but he must have been driving chill on purpose. I love GP's but we both know that he woulda wasted u, easy. lol. But im the same as u though, how else do you gauge the performance of your own car without going up against a faster one? those suckers are packin a V12, right? he probably got to thinking about the price tag on his car and realized he didn't need to have it impounded for running 100 plus MPH on the freeway. gotta give you props though man, at least you gave him a lil run for his excessive money! good run!

actually the motor is engineered in a way that 2 vr6 motors angled 50* together which is why its called a W12; also bare in mind the car weighs in at 4700lb.
