| Tonight there was a summer nights cruise held and I spotted a 01 gtp 4 door with a body kit, rims ect... very nice looking gp. well I got next to him honked 3 times and bam! he left me by like a car. Then we got to a light took off the spun I eased into it and he pulled hard like a car then we kicked it from 20 and he pulled a half car on me up until 70ish. Finally he pulls in wal mart parking lot to talk. He says his car is stock with just a chip, res delete and aftermarket muffflers. looked under the hood and nothing special. I figured with my mods I could have got him. I think he was just bs'n me. |

| Could have been wear on hard parts...transmission shape or MANY other factors. My buddy and I started modding our GTP's at the same time and he had a '97 Sedan and my '03. Bone stock, even with my K&N drop-in, he would scoot away from me. I put a intake on, it was dead even. Got my U-Bend Deleted and added my '03 Perf. Shift Conversion and I would put about a car on him...guess mine was knocking pretty bad from the factory. He went SS Intercooled and I went Cam...now I beat the crap out of him all the time

| Your GTP is 3 years older so it could be in worse shape engine wise. Or you could be seeing more KR than him. Not a bad race though.
