Yep im not afraid to admit it.


So i just figured out my misfire issue and got a new o2 sensor installed and today was the first day my car was back to normal. So i decided I should do some tuning for the first time since the cam and tranny install. So before i had the encounter I had finished the first session of maf tuning. So nothing was perfect yet. Done a little tweaking to the wot also.



So ANYWAYS... I'm driving and see this import with a body kit pass me going the oppisite way...so i hang a u turn and see a cobalt ss...im like o look what do we have here. He didnt want to play. So the import is still ahead. I catch up. While im crusing behind him im trying to figure out for the life of me what kind of car it is. Looked like an old mazda proteje like 90's maybe. Or an old honda. The kid had aperantly just bought it becuase it had a dealer tag on it. The car was very clean and I could tell looking at all of the shiny suspension parts under the back of the car that the car definetly had some work done to it. It was a very clean car. No badges or anything. Bout 7 guages inside lol.


So im on his ass... He gets on it and I floor it. Then I could tell when all of a sudden when i was not pulling on him that he also had some motor mods done.Turbo for starters lol. I was like uh o...redlight...Im thinking perfect. Light turns green we start out slow. bout 30 mph he starts to get on it (powerband) and i roll into the throttle hard.I start to spin in first. He's wide open also.


Were neck and neck and he is pullying on me very slowly. Every time he shifts I gain back just a tad. He is in probably about 3rd and im going about 95 in second gear pushing 17 LBS OF BOOST. I shift into 3rd. And he's pulling a good bit now since he's probably around 6500 rpms (powerband for him again) and me being in 3rd. We let off for a turn.He wins the race and I SUCK LOL.


And it all started when I figured it was some cocky kid who just bought a car fresh off the lot. Well, he may have bought this car fresh off the lot....But he bought a fast car off the lot. Still dont know what kind of car it was.



Im guessing it was a mid-high eleven second car. So my first race after the new mods I get my but whooped. It's a swell feeling.

Yea, I wouldn't feel bad either. There are some imports out there that are pretty bada$$. Reminds me of a time when I had my but handed to me by a mini cooper. Spanked numerous before, but this guy. Caught back up with him later and noticed all the german brand stickers on the rockers. Talked to him and he had it imported and all the work done there. Dude hit the throttle and it was like I hit the brakes. Gave him his props and we went on our way. So yea, it happens to all of us.

Heh...I've been walked by the best of them around KC.

If I see some dinky honda with a huge intercooler hanging from the front, I'll usually let it be. Power/weight ratio isn't in my favor with those things.

why? they are just evening out the playing field...supercharger vs turbo

ya'll make fun of honda's, but a lot of them can take you. I'm not a fan of honda's myself...even though I own an ACURA(a model that I found I actually did like), but hondas don't have to be riced out. When modded correctly they are fast

yea it is leaveling out the playing feild. and weigh about 1000 pounds less. so he said when he see's them he just lets them go because he dont stand a chance, he would lose...

i say because you said yall were pretty close. pretty much the same pull, so yall should have about the same times. maybe a solid 12 sec car
