iTrader: (1) Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Your best bet would have been to sand the plastic down first before painting. Also if the person who owned the car prior to it being junked used any armor all or anything on it, it will repell the paint. Thus the sanding before painting. Also the use of an adhension coat before paint will help it stick better to the plastic.

iTrader: (1) Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Here is the one link about painting plastic components in your car. This would also apply to painting your interior dash parts as well. http://www.grandprixforums.net/paint_plastic.php

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 1 ![]() | ur still good to go. lol. the plastic how-to is a good source too. --------- basically: -sand the part u want to paint with a high-grit paper like, 640 *shrugs* -if u want a color that'll stand out, primer it first, but if u want subtle color (which i like), a dark primer or just the sanded plastic can do. -once u get a technique down with spraying (side to side, 6" away from the piece, etc.), u'll get it done in no time. ^___^ ...try not to scratch it putting it back on, it's no fun. |
