ok, so now I am torn, pay almost twice the money for the hibeam kit, which mey or may not work that great, since they won't get any brighter, and what to do with fogs?

Should I just get a low beam kit for the cheaper price, and get a set of glass fogs with 100 watt bulbs? Then I will get my deer spotting covered

Thought about angel eyes, for only 10 bucks more than normal fogs, but I don't know, angel eyes with 100 watt bulbs could be cool, and maybe I could wire the beam to my high beam switch? and make it so my HIDs and angel eyes are on with my high beams

I have a regular 9007 HID kit in my headlights, so low beam only. I also changed out the stock fogs for the angel eyes. After modification of the brackets and making a new wiring harness for those, just with the stock bulbs in the angel eyes it works fantastic for a high beam substitute. HID headlights on, flip the fog light switch and it's like switching to high beams.

I haven't yet done the mod to keep power to the low beams in high beam mode, so if I click to what would be high beams I lose all light except the parking lights though. I haven't come across a method, but there may be a way to keep the fog lights on while the car thinks it's in high beam mode, so it could be set up that nothing changes from switching to low beam mode to high beam mode if that makes sense.

From all I've read, it's not worth the money for the dual mode HID kits in a 9007 since they require all the modification for a decent dual beam functionality. The way I did it, it works well and I don't have any complaints. Later down the road I could even buy an HID kit for the angel eyes if I wanted more light output.

The modification for keeping the low beam feed active with the high beam feed is very easy:

1) Unplug your DRL diode from under the dash. If you have HIDs, you should have done this already anyway.

2) Connect the TAN wire from the DRL plug to the YELLOW wire at the headlamp switch, position L. This keeps the low beam +12 feed active during high operation.

3) Enjoy!

This ONLY works if you have installed a relay headlamp harness. If you have not, you will overload wiring.

Do the turn signals work correctly?
Do the brake lights work correctly?
Check all of your fuses.

i dunno about ur state but NC, u would get a quick ticket like that...u cant have fogs on while hi-beams...its illegal. but i do illegal stuff all the time was just commenting to make sure u was aware that some states dont allow that.
that is why factory fogs auto cut off when hi-beams are adjusted

I actually decided to not bother messing with the wiring more, but regardless our vehicle laws here are quite lax compared to the rest of the country. We have no inspections or anything. That said, even if I did end up doing that mod, I'm the sort of person who turns off bright lights around other people, so the only time they'd all be on at once would be when there was nobody else around anyway.

thank god...i thought u was gonna say u was that cake hole driving 15 feet behind me blinding the Frig outta me!!! well NC does emissions, very strict... $48 for an inspection (xtra $10 for window tint, and $8 bucks cause i had one freggin license tag light out.)

what kind of HID kit do you guys recommend for the 04+ GP since they have two sets up bulbs for lows and highs? and is there any out there for the fog lights as well?

What kind as in bulb style or distributor? Your owner's manual or sylvania.com will tell you what the bulb number is for the low beams. As for the distributor, it really matters not, since they are all made in China. Just be sure that the hid arc is in the EXACT same position as the stock halogen filament would be. You may have to measure your stock bulbs and be sure to inquire with your HID seller to see if they will verify, which I doubt they will. All of the above applies with the fog lamp bulbs as well.
