About to tint my windows..Would a heatshrink gun work a lot better than just pushing the water from the center out? I would think so.

heating it up does help out, but too much you will distort it......

I think most of the pros use a heat gun. But there is a fine line between drying the water out and melting the tint.

I have tinted a few cars myself before. But with the curves that many cars have in the glass, it is just much easier to pay someone to have it done.

heat gun on the outside of the window, after you have pushed as mush water as you possible can out. the heat is what really sets the tine on the window

Can you remove the rear window tinting without damaging the defroster elements? If so, how do you do that? Mine is bubling up back there and making it increasingly difficult to see out of.

I need to do the same thing. But I am going to get it re-tinted afterwards, so I will just let the tint shop remove it for me.

there is a spray called "tint off" you just spray it on the window tint.....and it should just easily peel off. it loosens up the adhesive or you could just take a razor blade and cut it all out....

don't use a razor blade on the rear window because you could easilt damage the defrosting elements
