Toasty, I'll ask in a nicer way. What exactly is that? If I had to guess I would say you changed the color on the rear view mirror, but Ive never seen that CAL symbol before on mine which I assume is for calibration?

I am thinking Toasty has cracked the HUD display or DIC to show those states.........right??? Or was this from your failed overhead DIC project?

well you're about as close as one can get, i suppose

i nixed the overhead console DIC because i have a 97, and it's wiring is different enough that it likely wouldnt function right (98-02/03 would have been fine) so, i went looking for another temp/compass solution --- so a mirror seemed the best choice, but i wasnt looking forward to having green display in red lighted car. the fix? found a seller on ebay selling complete mirror retrofit kits (including full harness and temp sensor) and they offer custom color displays! --- they have like 7 different available colors.

as for the CAL, the pic was likely taken when in calibration mode for the compass.
