Front Motor Mount Brackets..

Default Front Motor Mount Brackets..

i want to paint my front motor mount brackets but i have a quick question...do you need a torque wrench or would a socket work fine? want to make sure...

For removing them? No torque wrench is needed, Socket and wrench work fine.

Can I just remove them and paint them or do I need to do anything to support the engine or anything like that.

You can just remove them and do what you want, then put them back on. No need to do anything to the engine, it will sit there by itself. Just don't drive it without them on. Then engine will move a whole lot!

yeah im going to paint mine and re-do my diagonal braces as well as try to paint my valve covers

Thats what I did with my car. check out my car domain site for some ideas. I painted mine first before I bought new braces. They looked good painted. In fact there are some sweet engine bays here with stock braces and mounts painted. Farnsworth's engine bay is very clean and well painted.
