Alright so I bought a 2000 Grand Prix GT 3800 and I am looking to make some mods. What are some started mods I should start out with? And yes I have read the safely modding your 3800 thread. Here is what I am looking at adding so far:

U Bend Delete
ZZP 10.3mm spark plug wires (red)
Thermostat-180°

What spark plugs would be best to replace the ones that are in there? I was looking at the autolites but wasn't sure between the 103's and 104's
Any help would be appreciated :)

I have a 97 GTP with about 130,000, stock car except for random tech downtube, kn filter and upgraded plug wires. I've owned the car for over 5 years now with only minor issues, but recently have had stalling and restarting issues, the car has no engine light or stored codes, fuel pressure is in the mid 50 range at the rail. Early this year I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter.

So two week ago, my car stalled while I was driving and would not restart. The engine would turnover and sometimes it would just stumble for afew seconds. This was after a long drive on a hot day. So at that point I'm thinking I have a fuel delivery issue. The next day the car started and ran fine. I replaced the fuel filter thinking there was some debris inside. Also a new fuel pump resitor and relay after I knew the problem was still there.

Since that first time I have had restarting issues once the car is warmed up and I just stop for afew minutes, come back and it wont start. Usally I get get it started 10 minutes later once its cooled down alittle.

So, I trying to narrow down the testing/part replacement and try to get a good idea what going on. Thanks.

the car- 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8L naturally aspirated. Stock, no mods right down to paper filter.

the problem- check engine light on. idle not steady at all times, Stalling when driving and hard to restart. Only code that comes up is P0102. replaced maf, map, and iac due to miles on car 151,XXX and i was hoping for an easy fix.

after i replaced those three parts, the code was cleared and the car was perfect for 130 miles. now i'm having the same problem again with the same code.

the measurements- the keyed voltage to the maf is 12.01 VDC and the PCM wire at the maf is 5.0VDC. both voltage readings were ground referenced to the middle ground wire going to the maf.

i've also check the battery voltage at the battery terminals and got 12.74VDC then put the ground lead from my meter on the engine and the meter read the same 12.74VDC. so i'm pretty sure the engine has a solid ground. although i haven't ohm'd out the ground.

the p0102 code is a low voltage reference to the maf so that's why i'm hitting on the voltage stuff. am i going in the right direction?

next i'm going to unplug the o2 sensor to see if that is causing the problem.

what else should i try? this is a very confusing issue. it also seems it is a somewhat common problem with our cars. ideas???

I just recently got my car inspected and it passed with no problems. I have however been having issues with the ABS system, and had the same garage that passed me on inspection take a look at it. The garage suspected it was a wiring problem. They didn't fix it before I had to pick the car up, but immediately after picking it up the engine is now throwing an error code, P0452, which seems to indicate to me that the garage messed up the wiring for the fuel tank pressure sensor.

Does anyone have ideas on how I could find this out / fix this? I really don't want to take my car back to the same garage that created a problem for me.

Im sure this problem has been covered here before, but I am a newbie. Here is the problem, my a/c used to work on 5, dead from 1-4, then it died on 5. I just changed the blower resistor, and still no a/c no heat, no nothing. When I drive I can feel the slightest cold air coming from the vents, but when I come to a stop there is nothing. Also my key is stuck in the ignition, so I have to do the manual way of getting my key out and push the little tab in the steering column to get the key out. As well, my shifter gets stuck in park, so once again I have to to it the manual way, and push on the safety lock thing in order to get the shifter out of park. Everything else on the electrical system works, the drl dont go out when the a/c setting are on 1-4, rear defroster works, all windows roll down, everything else works. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, thanx for your time. I should add, i checked all the fuses, and they are all good. Oh yeah by the way, its a 2002 GT
