I know heat needs to be applied to the paint. Does a hair dryer get hot enough or does it need to be a heat gun, specifically? My bride's hair dryer gets a surface hot enough that it's really unpleasant to touch. Is there a "magic" surface temperature to achieve? Notice there is a reflector in front of the bulb:


H3 bulb sits inside behind the metal shield:


Not too much clearance for an HID bulb due to the HID bulb having a long back.. The shield is needed also because that's how the fog light mounts..


Autozone Fog Lights (no reflector in front of the bulb):


The mounting for this fog light is separate than the H3 bulb, so we cna probably have the H3 HID bulb stick out of there.
