Unhappy engine missing and bucking at operating temp

    Hello all,

I have been trying to figure out what is going on with my 2000 GTP. When the engine is cold the car runs like a champ. When it hits operating temperature it runs like a chump. As soon as the operating temperature is reached the car bucks like a bronco with almost any load you put on it (it like it is misfiring really bad). When you get it up to speed on the freeway it runs great as long as you do not need to accelerate. I installed new coil packs, plugs and wires before I noticed that it only happened at operating temp. I do not get any Check engine lights and no codes are being thrown. I am thinking it must be sensor related but I do not know which one to start with. I have a spare engine I could swap parts off if needed. Any recommendations where to start.

Have you cleaned the MAF? I'd start there and see what you get. Also, may want to check for vac. leaks.

From the sounds of it it only has problems while a load is applied?? Not at idle? If so I would expect a clogged cat however, the temperature shouldnt make a difference.... hmmm

Sounds like a open loop vs closed loop issue. Maybe you have a 02 on the fritz

I pulled the plugs and they seem to have a white powder between the electrode and the thread. That seems to be like it is running lean. Does that sound right. I changed the maf and EGR and it runs better but still has a miss when on the gas
