    Default engine lift

I'm changing out my oil pan this saturday because it is leaking about a quart of oil a week and in order to do that i need to raise the engine a few inches to get some of the bolts off the old oil pan. What is the best way to go about raising it. Or where can i connect the engine lift. I have access to a full shop with every thing i need i just need to know how to lift it

Support it from above with an engine fixture, then lower the subframe down to do the job.

If Dave feels 60% throttle is 100%, what does he tell his wife.

Adding to this.. Use a decent car jack to support the side that your removing the subframe bolts from..that way you can lower it slowly and jack it back up when its all said and done.

Type in the word "easy" and my screen name on the search. Find the transmission removal thread. That has the how to pull a subframe.

there is a thread on this forum how to remove oil pan my hell i believe its called. Idk what year or model you have but i tried doing this job with just a lift and some high jacks and it didnt work out that well, i eventually had to use a cherry picker cus my car kept wanting to come off the lift.
so anyway ill explain a quick write up on it for you
    remove front engine mounts
drop cradle a bit but do not remove bolts completly by loosening the back bolts
remove lower engine mount bracket bolts (these are a ***** to get to and even a more ***** to put them back in) you need offset wrenches and small hands there are 3 i think total maby 4 then the engine mount bolts(2 total)
now your going to have to raise the engine ( like i said i tried jacking up the engine with 2 high jacks but i kept having issues with the space and my car kept wanting to lift off the lift and i had a cpl close calls with it almost coming off untill i said **** this lowered the car and used a cherry picker
Trust me the job isnt as easy as you think it is this took me 13 hours granted i couldnt get my cradle bolts loose so that made it more of a *****
I would not do this again
oh and while your at it order a new engine mount cus these things go and ull have to do it all over again in order to replace it anyway

oh and mine was a 2000 gtp

Edit: found the writeup for you
